Smart Artz Theatre Inc is based in the beautiful regional Victorian city of Horsham. Established in 2018, Smart Artz began with a vision to stage a diverse range of theatre for audiences to enjoy, and to provide a space for local actors, dancers, singers, designers and makers to flex their creative muscles. Fast-forward five years, and Smart Artz Theatre Inc is a multi award-winning non-profit community theatre company whose work has attracted accolades including Victorian Drama League awards for Best Production, Best Director, Best Lighting and several Best Actor awards across several different productions. We are renowned for producing high-quality theatre, and we are committed to doing so in a way that centres emotional and physical safety, kindness, care and respect.

We produce a diverse array of theatrical works, from engaging plays for adult audiences and family-friendly performances to collaborative dance pieces and dynamic musicals. Our shows range in age suitability—some are open to all, while others are intended for adult casts only. Specific age guidelines for each production will be clearly outlined in all audition materials.

We are passionate about mentoring young people in the diverse aspects of live theatre. If you’re seeking work experience in the theatre industry, we invite you to reach out to us at smartartztheatrecompany@gmail.com. Depending on our current planning and creative stage, we may be able to connect you with an adult mentor from our production team or committee.
